Day 2 (07/31) – God Is Calling YOU Higher!
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14 (NIV)
There’s a divine call on your life — not just to exist, but to elevate. To rise from the pain of your past. To move forward from old cycles. To walk in identity, not insecurity.
In Philippians 3:14, Paul writes that he is pressing on. That implies movement, resistance, and intentionality. The higher calling isn’t about perfection — it’s about direction. It’s about responding to the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit saying, “There’s more for you.”
God isn’t calling you higher to burden you. He’s calling you higher to free you — from emotional baggage, limiting beliefs, and patterns that no longer serve the person He created you to be. He’s calling you to rise above comparison, fear, and shame.
This kind of rising may require letting go. You may have to drop the weight of past wounds or the comfort of familiarity. But as you climb, you’ll find that God’s grace meets you on every step.
Reflection:
God’s call to go higher may not feel easy — but it will always lead you to a better place. He is stretching your faith, refining your character, and drawing you closer to Him.
Journal/Prayer Questions:
1. Where in your life do you sense God calling you to rise?
2. What are you still clinging to that’s preventing your spiritual growth?
3. What one step can you take today to press forward into your higher calling?
Prayer:
Lord, I want to answer Your call. Help me press on — even when it’s uncomfortable. Help me rise from the places I’ve been stuck and embrace the higher things You’ve set before me. Give me the strength to let go, the courage to move forward, and the faith to trust You. Amen.
