Be Obedient and Stay On The Course To Your Calling!

đź“– Scripture:

“Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road .” —Luke 10:4

🙌🏻 Devotional:

In this passage, Jesus sends His disciples out with an unusual set of instructions: travel light, take nothing extra, and avoid unnecessary distractions. At first glance, this command seems restrictive—but it is actually an invitation into deeper faith. Jesus was teaching them that the success of their mission would not depend on human resources, but on God’s provision and power.

For us today, this verse is a reminder to release our grip on comfort, security, and self-reliance. Sometimes, the very things we cling to for safety can weigh us down and keep us from fully stepping into God’s calling. Walking in obedience often means trusting that God will provide what we need as we go, not before we go. It also calls us to live with urgency—prioritizing His mission over the distractions and demands of everyday life.

When we loosen our hold on “baggage” and fix our eyes on Jesus, we discover that God is more than enough.

🙏🏻 Prayer:

Lord, allow me to trust you fully to stay in my lane. I bind up the distractions, confusion, mind binding spirits right now in the name of Jesus. Satan, you cannot steal my anointing from God and I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. Father, God keep me on the course and allow me to depend on you every step of the way. I am yours and you have a great calling on my life right now in the name of Jesus. Amen.
