Day 3 (08/01) – Check Your Spiritual Pulse

πŸ“– Scripture: Revelation 3:15–16

In this challenging but necessary message, we take a moment to examine the state of our hearts and ask: Are we truly living with a burning passion for God β€” or have we settled into lukewarm comfort?

Jesus speaks clearly in Revelation 3:15–16, warning the church in Laodicea that half-hearted faith is not enough. He desires a people who are fully committed β€” hot with passion or cold in honesty, but never stagnant and indifferent.

This devotion is a wake-up call to assess our spiritual temperature and reignite our relationship with the Lord. Healing, transformation, and purpose begin when we get honest about where we are and invite the Holy Spirit to stir us up again.

πŸ‘‰ Let this be the moment you check your pulse… and let God set your heart back on fire.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

You know my heart. You see every part of me β€” even the places I try to hide.

And You’ve said in Your Word that You would rather I be hot or cold, but not lukewarm.

Lord, I don’t want to live with a half-hearted faith.

I don’t want to drift through life distracted, distant, or comfortable with spiritual complacency.

Set my heart on fire again.

Awaken every place in me that has grown numb, weary, or indifferent.

Remind me of the joy of my salvation and the urgency of my purpose.

I surrender the distractions, the pride, the fear β€” anything keeping me from going deeper with You.

Fan the flame within me.

Let me hunger for Your Word. Let me thirst for Your presence.

And let my life reflect a bold, authentic love for You.

Don’t let me be lukewarm, Lord.

Make me burn brightly for Your glory.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
