What We Think About We Bring About
๐ Scripture:
โFor as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.โ โ Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
๐๐ป Devotional:
This verse reminds us that our thoughts shape our reality. The way we think about ourselves, others, and God directly influences how we live, speak, and act.
- If our minds are filled with fear, doubt, or negativity, we begin to live out of that mindset.
- If our hearts are aligned with Godโs truth, we live with confidence, peace, and purpose.
- Transformation begins in the mind (Romans 12:2). Renewing our thoughts with Godโs Word helps us live in alignment with His will.
Essentially: what you continually dwell on becomes who you are.
This verse reminds us:
- God responds to even the smallest step of trust.
- Our weakness isnโt the final word; Godโs power is.
- Faith grows as we use itโjust like a seed grows when planted.
๐ก Reflection Questions:
- What thoughts do I find myself dwelling on most oftenโare they life-giving or limiting?
- Do my thoughts about myself align with what God says about me?
- In what areas of my life do I need to replace negative or fearful thoughts with Godโs truth?
- How can I be more intentional about guarding my thought life daily?
- What is one scripture I can meditate on to reshape my thinking this week?
๐๐ป Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains when it is placed in You. Strengthen my faith where I am weak, and help me to trust You in the areas that feel impossible. Teach me to rely on Your power and not my own. Lord, I surrender my doubts and fears, and I ask that You help me walk in confidence that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or imagine. Grow my faith daily, and let it bear fruit for Your glory. In Jesusโ name, Amen.
